Tom Ulrich entered the die construction business as an apprentice
in 1964. After working at a variety of large die job shops in
the Detroit area, he entered the employ of Chrysler Corporation
in 1969 at their Vernor Tool & Die facility. In 1983, Tom moved
to the Warren Stamping Plant. Becoming the Die PM Facilitator
in 1990, Tom Ulrich played a leadership role in the development
of a very successful and comprehensive preventive maintenance
process for Warren Stamping’s dies.
Mr. Ulrich has attended numerous and varied seminars and conferences
that deal specifically with PM. He has presented at numerous venues
(including the 1996 P/PM Technology National Conference and an
International Best Practices Symposium at Chrysler World Headquarters
in Auburn Hills, MI). He is strongly committed to the establishment
of a web site devoted exclusively to die maintenance.
